Food & Beverage

The Vermont Country Deli
The Vermont Country Deli opened its doors in 1986 and has continued to be locally owned and operated. We have a warm, country store atmosphere with comfort food favorites, local beer, wine and cider and gourmet specialty products. Our varied array of prepared food products is headlined by our “world famous” baked macaroni and cheese with over 32 tons sold in 2023 alone!
The Deli has a wonderful history filled with celebrity visits, near-miss traffic incidents and buses full of hungry skiers. Our pulled pork sandwich has been featured in Esquire Magazine’s March, 2008 edition, while our Route 9 Roast Beef Sandwich graced the pages of People Magazine. In 2024, we were honored to have AAA Magazine feature our mac and cheese in their Vermont Road Trip section!
We are dedicated to supporting local businesses, and offer many specialty retail products from the Brattleboro area. We purchase Vermont fruit for our pies when in season and try to incorporate other, seasonal local produce whenever possible. The Vermont Country Deli frequently donates food to local fundraisers and has been a big supporter of many charities such as The Harris Hill Ski Jump, Brattleboro Ski Hill, Brattleboro Rotary, Brattleboro Youth Services, New England Youth Theater and so much more.

Saxtons Distillery
Saxtons River Distillery Vermont spirits combine old-world heritage with the flavor of Vermont. I gained appreciation for maple syrup while living in Vermont and visiting the sugar houses of friends in spring.
Understanding the amount of work required to produce quality maple syrup has given me profound respect for the final product. With a nod to family tradition and the tradition of Vermont, I offer you the unique taste of Saxtons River Distillery spirits.

The Newfane Store

Arts & Entertainment

Latchis Theatre
Welcome to where Cupid and Eros meet Clio, in our Greco Deco Theatre. The Latchis Main Theatre has stood as is since 1938 and is a member of the League of Historic American Theatres. Bedecked with Greek murals by the Hungarian-American painter Louis Jambor, swaddled in velvet curtains, and accented with a panoramic view of the Zodiac on the ceiling, our performance space has welcomed the likes of Rosanne Cash, Collegiate A Capella champions, and the New England Center for Circus Arts. Beginning with Vaudeville and silent films, our stage has shown exceptional music, art, and moving pictures to Southern Vermont for over eighty years.
Today, the Latchis Theatre is a stately stage for live events, an elegant place to catch some current cinema, or the perfect venue for your next special occasion. We update our movie roster every other week and we’ll often keep especially popular titles showing for as long as our community wants to see them.
